Asylum
A soft giggle left the lips of a small grey coyote as once again her legs got sucked into mud strait up to the elbow joint. Asylum was still a pup at only about eight months, it was a surprise that she had lived this long out on her own. Because it had been two months since her own mother had kicked her out of her birth pack. Asylum jiggled her limbs, even her tail swung with the motion, and somehow out she popped from the sucking mud. She battled with a few more spots of loose soil before finally coming to rest of four different peaces of grassy out crop. Each foot was on its own patch, she looked almost as crazy as she actually was. Asylum started to hum as she hopped from one peace of hardy grass to the other. She may not have been in the right state of mind but at least what ever was clinging to her half there being wanted to survive. That meant that Asylum didn’t really have to take care of herself, the thing that fed off of her like a stomach worm did all the survival moves for her. “Whap!” She said in high voices surprise as she almost tripped from where all four of her paws were gathered upon a single spread of Rooty earth. “That would be bad if I fell.” Asylum commented drawing her face closer to the soaked earth. “I want to win, and win I shall.” Her destination was a peace of wood that looked like something a human might of created a long time ago before they had up and disappeared. “La,la,la.” She hymned her big fluffy ears circling around her head like inteni. She grunted as she bunched her back legs and went for the final long jump to the wooden structure. Her front paws made it onto the structure while her two back ones fell hip deep into the grasping mud. “Well I guess we both win.” She stated playfully, not exactly sure how she would get herself out of this one.
