The smell of salt tickled his nostrils as the wind wrapped around his body. The squawking seagulls were irritating him a little and they were stalking him from a distance. The smell of decaying flesh was drawing them to him as the glistening texture of a strange object was seen lodged in his mouth. This was a little tradition of his and he could continue the tradition as long as the pack would allow him. He grumbled at the idea of having to curb his ways but naturally what they didn’t know wouldn’t hurt them now would it?
Black lips curled up around the unique object to expose rather dingy looking canines. His deep gray coat was matted and mixed with pinches of chocolate and black fur. Also the hint of old blood was tickling his paws from a kill he had disposed off. The salt water had been a treat to dispose of the evidence and he was sure the little fishes would enjoy their meal. So the normal aroma of male and salt water was masking the murderous truth beneath the surface of his paws.
The rocks were somewhat ruff against his pads and they tore a little. No blood came from the little snagged pieces of padding. It was time for them to be changed anyway. It was just uncomfortable considering it made them rather sore. He shook his husky body and continued up the rocky path. Usually this area was rather forlorn. Not many wolves ventured this far from their home lands considering the free lands could be rather dangerous territory. He was one of those nightmares another didn’t wish to come face to face with.

+ + J o h a n n a he was my soul one he felt like the only one he was the sun, the sky, blue eyes he was my soul one Everything was black, darkness had settled around the slender female like the night. Suddenly a deep, commanding voice rang in her ears. "Run! Run away and don't look back!" So she did. Johanna ran faster then she'd ever gone before. It didn't matter where she was going, she just had to get there... she ran until her legs could carry her no more and then she toppled to the ground. Sometime was coming. Something was coming to get her.......
The female woke with a ferocious snarl and her front end jolted upright. Her forelegs strained under the sudden movement and her heart pounded in her chest as if she really had been running. When her blue eyes finally registered the open, rocky area around her she blinked and drew in a sharply and shaky breath. It had been a dream. She was safe, for now. Johanna dropped to the ground and rolled over onto her side. She didn't understand what the dream was about but it had occurred more than once now and it was extremely annoying. "I'm never going to get any sleep!" she complained rather loudly.
With an angry grunt she rolled over onto her belly and stood up slowly. By now she noticed the male nearing her, and it was too late to make a run for it. She turned to face him and let her fur bristled slightly, it was better to look intimidating than weak. She didn't want to start a fight, she just wanted to be left alone. And get a good sleep. Her nose twitched as his scent was delivered to her and she watched him carefully, eying the object he carried in his jaws. What was that thing?

His shadow loomed around his paws in an eerie pattern. The way the sun was peeking past the clouds made it vanish and reappear. It was almost unsettling, like he really was a ghost of some sort. His long tail brushed against his back ankles and his ears twitched as he realized there was a female in front of his eyes. She had caught him off guard; perhaps her sleeping position had made her silhouette seem smaller? Well what ever the reason was that he hadn’t noticed her, he did now.
Well, speaking with an organ in his jaws was a little difficult now wasn’t it? So he gently placed the kidney down. The seagulls were swarming around and begging for his little treasure. He eyed them carefully and placed a paw over the token and tilted his head just a touch to the left. His yellow eyes were almost glowing against the darkness of his face and he smiled, “Well feisty aren’t we?” he said in a low voice. A hint of a laugh was laced in the poison of his voice.
She was protesting his company. How cute! Well, what a shame to disappoint her. If he didn’t have a little treasure to protect from the vultures in the sky he would have began to circle her. “Why do sad love? Something startle you?” he smiled wickedly. His vice was dripping with potential of what was to come. If she would be an easy meal then perhaps he would abandon his toy.

+ + J o h a n n a he was my soul one he felt like the only one he was the sun, the sky, blue eyes he was my soul one 'Great.' she thought, nearly rolling her eyes. He was one of those males. Well then she would just have to show him that she was nothing to mess with. In what seemed like the blink of an eye her posture changed from merely irritated to hostile. Ears laid back, fangs bared and head low she let out a snarl that made her body shake. "You best leave me be, or I'll tear you a new one." she replied. Johanna was in no mood for anyone's crap, and she probably wouldn't be until she got some uninterrupted sleep.
"And don't call me love." she added hotly. She wished Caden would show up already, then maybe everyone would leave her alone. Maybe. Her eyes flickered down to the kidney now hidden under his paw and she raised a brow, much as a wolf could, for a moment. Why would anyone carry around a kidney? She pondered this for a moment and replaced her curious expression with a scowl. It didn't matter, she had bigger things to deal with.

His deep yellow eyes flickered over her little change in heart. So she wanted to dance did she? Well, he was more then happy to spill some blood. His tail flicked behind him as he abandoned his kidney to get closer and he began to circle her. The seagulls were thrilled to finally get a chance to abduct his trophy. Two fought over who would get to consume the organ and finally the right one was the winner. His hairs flickered upright in an automatic response to her body language and he growled lowly. “If you want to play darling I’ll be more then happy to accommodate your request.” [/color]He said mater of fact. His ears twitched as he looked her over for possible flaws and he snapped at her hackles in an encouraging gesture. Blood shed was always one of his favorite past times. The clouds were rolling in and the smell of rain tickled his nostrils momentarily. He wondered how long it would take for the storm to hit the area. The promise of a rather beautiful day was cast off by the angry clouds. So the waves would swell and they would touch the rocks once the rain fell for some time. So if they happened to have a little scuffle then he would need to be weary of the swelling waters. [/sup][/blockquote]

+ + J o h a n n a he was my soul one he felt like the only one he was the sun, the sky, blue eyes he was my soul one Why did they always want to do this the hard way? While she pondered this for a heartbeat she was taken by surprise when he snapped at her hackles. Immediately she responded by tilting her jaws upwards and aiming a bite at his throat. It was the easiest way to kill another wolf, or at least scare them off and it was the first thing she thought of when he attacked.
"Let's play. she nearly hissed before closing her jaws around the lowered part of his chin. She'd missed her target, and this one was less likely to do much damage, but at least she'd grabbed hold of something. Johanna was rusty when it came to fighting, she hadn't sparred in a while. So she would probably lose this one, plus he was a much larger male.
