In the Hands of Fate
Every ending is a new, happier beginning; it’s the biggest lie you will ever hear in your life. The end of peace did not bring about a new, happier beginning, rather a desolate world to be rebuilt and repaired time and time again. It brought pure chaos. The gods had fought long and hard for centuries to keep the mortal world at peace, and t hey had succeeded. Their children, the mortal wolves, were handling their lives and freedom with care. Each god agreed that leaving the three realms would be for the best. They would reside in the Otherworld, and there they would simply observe their creations, allow their destinies to be decided by Fate.
A Fond Farewell
Their decision being made, the three rulers met in a desolate valley to give their final farewell to the mortals, and leave to reside in the Otherworld. They each granted the world three things: wings, colors, and elements. Far and wide, they spread special secrets to be uncovered and helpful potions to get their children through the hard times of life. Each one, even Sephryne, was deeply sorrowful to have to leave their mortal children.
The Problem
Upon their departure, a horrible mishap took place. Their worlds, Paradise, Middle Earth, and the Underworld, all collided. This could only result in mass hysteria. The worlds were now unstably combined. The damned from the Underworld crossed over into the mortal world again, wreaking more havoc than ever before. The “good souls” from Paradise were back on Earth, immediately at war with the damned. The wolves of Middle Earth only wanted peace. All of the Gods’ work, which took hundreds of years, was now being destroyed in mere days. The Gods left, anger baffling their decisions.
A Message
Our dearest children, we have guided you through the whole of your lives. We have done our absolute best to keep you safe, but we fear we have failed. Leaving the earth will help in the end, we assure you. The turmoil you all face will help to make you stronger, more knowledgeable. We hope you will not lose your faith in us. We pray that what little balance there is can remain until we are able to restore it.
