Feara Excitement and fear ragged within Feara, each one fighting for dominance. Yesterday she had entered into the borders of Haden Valley, it had mainly been out of curiosity. For the past year she had been living as almost a para, never staying in one place for too long, never attaching to something to give it a home inside of her heart. Then Feara's entire life changed, it had all began with the entrance of a male wolf. After a fierce drill on her reasons for trespassing Gavin, the Alpha of this land had told her that she would now belong to him. For some odd reason Feara had not giving him a doubt that what he said would not be accepted. Feara was one to question and Analise everything around her, but with the air of dominance that Gavin emanated Feara had not wanted to seem childish in front of him.
The hardened pads of her feet trotted fervently over the land, naturally avoiding brush and sticks that would crackle or brake and reveal her presence. When she had first found herself a lone in the land of the wild Feara had spent many nights hungry. She had feared that if she did not hone her skill soon then she would wither away like so much dust. But now instinct took her nerves by the rains and guided her to the light of life. By some intuition the Alpha Gavin had told her that she would be a hunter for the pack. Now it would not be a leading job, no that would go to the Alpha himself till he could trust her more fully. The job did require a lot of hard work -or that is what she got from the brief conversation with the alpha, she had never hunted for a whole pack before- like finding and tracking prey.
It was by pure scent a lone that Feara knew when she had come to the place that she had been trying to find for almost half the day. Maybe it had been some test from Gavin sending her to find his den in order to talk to him. Feara wasn't sure if she had made it in enough time to appease the Alpha because she didn't know much about him in the first place. But she had done the best she could with all the strange scents of this land. Her small body stopped suddenly as a cavernous whole opened almost magically in front of her eyes. The den was so well hidden that you had to have been within ten feet to actually see it. Weary she opened her vocals, they were naturally soft and light, belying what she could let released from her throat when angered. "Gavin?" Feara wasn't sure who ells was in the Haden Valley territory and she only slightly worried that she would be attacked. Feara only hoped that Gavin had spoken to his pack about who she now was.
Word Count; 501 Comment; I hope you don't mind the little power playing of the 'day before' for the two of them. I wasn't sure how ells to make the post though. Character; Feara - Huntress

DONE.
He had, of course, sensed the approaching she-wolf within she was within viewing distance, and he had been pleasantly surprised to learn that she was rather difficult to hear- one trait that only furthered what seemed to be a wonderful decision of appointing her as a subordinate hunter. Of course, her scent had been easily traced- he as downwind of her- but he did not doubt that she was aware of positions and tactics and the like for hunts. And he would, of course, have to rally his charges to initiate one within the next day or so; his packlands were home to a manifold of fauna and while the dozen or so members he had acquired hadn't had difficulty catching the smaller prey, he knew that a major chase was in order. One could imagine the extent of satisfaction that had flown through the behemoth Alpha when he had discovered a fae so perfectly built for the task- not so large that her weight would impede the swift movement that was required, but not so small that it would become a hindrance. She had been quite the lovely female, not caustic nor vexing in any way. And so it had been with no great exasperation that he had requested she arrive at his den to discuss ranks the following morning; it would not have been fair to simply place the weight of being Haden Valley's independent hunter on one's shoulder without first thoroughly elucidating the particulars of the role and allowing her to assume or deny the responsibilities. While he would have been greatly disappointed if she had refused, he was indeed a greatly understanding creature and would politely offer her a subordinate position.
As it was, however, it had seemed that Feara had shown no misgivings toward the proffered rank, a reaction that pleased him. And so, as he heard her gentle call, he unfolded thick legs and rose to meet her at the stone den's yawning egress, glancing down through cerulean eyes with a faint smile curling his lips as he did so. It was not uncommon for the Alpha to be physically forced to tilt his head down, for his height- nearly forty inches- was enough to keep him towering over every other lupine in his pack- every other lupine he had ever met, to be honest. This height was well-balanced, however, by a proportionate weight: over one-hundred-sixty pounds, Gavin was a fine specimen of a wolf. He held himself with an air of magnificent regality; confidence and intelligence fairly permeated from the wolf and he thought himself to be of a highly noble caliber. Forever calm and valuing emotional restraint, he was, outwardly, highly reserved in both behavior and words- though, once one has stepped past the intimidation he naturally retained, they would be pleasantly surprised to realize that, in all actuality, they had found one of the most gregarious creatures for miles upon miles.
"Feara, he spoke gravely, voice a rich baritone with an almost sultry edge entwined. "Please, come in. Make yourself comfortable." He gave her another small smile, flicking his tail and stepping aside so that she would have ample room to do so. His den was really not so much a 'den' as it was a small cave; there was easily room for Gavin and at least one other- perhaps two if the duo were both as small as this newest Haden Valley constituent. "I asked you to visit me today so that I could explain to you just what being our huntress entails, and after you have heard the responsibilities and the like, you may either choose to keep your rank, or decide to become a subordinate until I have found something that I believe may suit you." He stopped again, eyes not yet shifted their gaze that was currently fastened on the slender she-wolf. He was a slow speaker; he preferred to first gather his thoughts and deliver them as eloquently as possible so that there would be little to no miscommunications. "You, as a hunter, will not have to pursue any prey by yourself, but I do expect you to eventually know prey hotspots and be able to tell us where to look. Because of your skills with tracking, it will also be up to you to warn the others if they are wandering off track. That being said, you are not allowed to attempt and take down anything by yourself. You may specialize as a hunter, but we work as a single unit here, and I do expect you to respect that." His gaze hardened for a moment, his cerulean orbs boing into her fawn-hued ones, as if he was searching for her understanding in the depth of her orbs. "If I feel that your skills far surpass everyone's, I will offer you a promotion to Head Hunter. If you do reach that position, you are allowed to take on an apprentice if you would like. Head Hunters will replace me at the front of the group...but enough about that rank. Would you like to remain Haden Valley's huntress, or do you prefer to choose something else?"

Feara Feara heard a large yawn right before the huge Alpha shifted out of the shadows of the cave. Just like yesterday Gavin managed to make her feel inferior. The alpha staired at her with a smile lifting the corners of his lips, his head was also bent down slightly making her feel all of her twenty six inches. Gavin was almost double her height while his body mass had to be even more then double. And the way he held himself made her want to bow down to him and kiss his heals. Feara had never been a Dominant wolf, but neither had she liked taking orders from others. That was a reason why being wild at heart had come so easily to her. Even though Feara didn't know this wolf all that well and with first glances he was a domineering mass she felt as though this beast was not all show. And he proved that by his next words.
Feara's eyes almost widened at the way the Alphas vocals shimmered threw her nerves. His voice was almost like a seduction on her scenes. She then realised that she was staring and visibly shook herself. Gavins effect on her more likely had something to do with him being her Alpha then anything ells; like romantical. "I'd prefer it if you called me Firebird." She spoke while obeying him at the same time. The den like cave had a large entrance but once you got inside you found that it did not have all that much room. Four or Five regular wolves could fit easily within it, though Gavin wasn't a regular wolf which left it only comfortable for about him and one or two others. It made Feara wonder if Gavin had had any pups before she had joined this pack. At her old pack the den had been huge fitting a large pack of ten into it with the pups of the season easily. And surly with the Alphas every fiber vibrating with testosterone he would have spawned a few of his blood. But then again he didn't have a bonded mate at his side which probably meant that he had not found his other half. With a slight huff of air Feara turned towards the Alpha and banished her thoughts, putting her full attention on the now,
Her ears twitched as he went into a speech about who she would be within his pack. For a while now she had had to hunt for herself in order to survive so she was no newcomer to taking down prey. Though with a pack the size of Gavins the prey wouldn't be one bite rats or fluffy bunnies. More like long horned elk or ragging bucks. When Feara had just turned one full cycle she had found herself within distance of a small doe and her fawn. She's been new to exploring the world out of the safety of the den and everything had excited her. With overzealous intent she had sprung up out of the bushes and gone after the fawn, silvia almost dripping from her mouth with the thought of warm red flesh. She had been stupid though, thinking she could take on this little fawn all a lone with the mother being right there. She had almost had the hawk of the fawn in her jaws when the mother attacked her with hooven feet. It hadn't been pretty nor had the lecture she had gotten after returning home. She had learned a lot from that day, she had also grown up from the traumatic event.
The piercing gaze of Gavin brought her back from the past. Her amber eyes flickered to his stark blue ones and found that they were calculating her. She cleared her throat uncomfortably and shot her eyes down to examine the earthen floor like it held the answers of life. "I am still young which means that my mind learns quickly." She spoke her voice slightly muffled by Her shyness. "You need only to tell me something once." Feara's top teeth covered her bottom lip a second in order to give her a chance to catch her breath. "I have not belonged to a pack for a while now." She admitted still staring at the grit beneath her. "I have lived off the earth by my own means." Feara's eyes shot up then so that he could get the truth of her next words. "But being in this pack is something that I want greatly. If you teach me how to hunt with a pack structure then I would like to stay on as your huntress." She gave a faulty smile that had her canine teeth pocking out from between her lips. "Though you will need to do more then speak of how to hunt with me you will have to physically show me." A shocking scene played out behind her eyes. Gavin, his massive body stretched out at full run, his cerulean eyes glowing with predatory hunger. He was pure Lupin, blood lust his only feeling. Feara knew that he had spoken again and it took her a second to shuffle threw her brain in order to replay what had happened while she had been envisioning the Alpha on the prowl. "Only time will tell how well I can adapt myself to pack life." She answered him, confused emotions rained within her being but on the outside she was like a stone, her tone didn't even waver. "I don't think I am suited to do anything ells with my life." With that Feara turned and walked a few steps towards the back of the cave wall, wanting to have at least that much distance between the two of them. Word Count; 970, Bam! beat that! Comment; Took me like an hour to write because I'm a hen pecker lol. I love to write but prefer using pencil. You are very good to Rp with I could play off of you very easily.[/sup][/blockquote]

DONE.
A lighthearted chuckle was emitted from his jaws, and he dipped his head in recognition to the apparent nickname that she preferred before following the she-wolf within the capaciously accommodating den.
“Firebird it is, then,” he assured her, taking repose directly across from the fae. He felt slightly discomfited by the sight; it had been some time since there had been a female's presence in his den, and his discomfort often became discernible within the span of just a few minutes. Still, she was proving to be somewhat different than Haden Valley's other fae- less approachable, for one, but then again she wasn't throwing herself at him and for that the Alpha was also grateful. When he had claimed this territory, he was blissfully unaware of the fact that she-wolves could be so vicious towards others. Having been whelped and raised in a pack that valued its members wholeheartedly, feminine spats were often isolated to their first years, as the social hierarchy was already well in place. Here, however, it was not- and he already had a good inkling of just who would wind up on top: the golden girl from his youth, Anevay, who had already come to him several times with complaints that he was wholly unsure of how to solve without begetting unreasonably disastrous turmoil within the other femmes. That, in his thoughts, was a job to be left to the Alphess, but then again, there was no Alphess, and from the behavior he had seen and had been told about, it was highly unlikely that any of the current females were at-all suitable for the task. He was pleased that she had remained quiet through his informative address instead of babbling along about some tidbit piece of times past that in all actuality had very little, if anything, to do with the subject at hand- this was quickly ill-balanced by is realization that he was obviously still a source of great intimidation, despite the fact that he was upholding the utmost kindness to his newest member. A slight frown dragged down his handsome features as her glance fearfully left his and he shifted so that the two were not within such close proximity. He leaned forward as she chose to engage in the conversation, and he listened intently, nodding along in places where physical recognition was due. “Your mental prowess should be something that you are very thankful for. Intelligence often goes unnoticed by its owners and false stupidity is something that I personally find to be rather revolting. You need not fear that your time in solitude will hinder your attempt to assimilate with the others; the majority of them should take wonderfully to you, stranger or not. Before you leave here today I will have another escort you back, and you may choose a den that suits your liking.” He was quiet, features one of deep thoughtfulness, before answering her with a broad smile. “It is a very pleasant thing to know that you feel so strongly about a position here. I have no qualms with taking you out on an exploratory hunt before we gather Haden Valley together for a pack-wide expedition; perhaps later today would suit you? Of course, there are others I must see to beforehand, but it might be better if you retire to your den at first, perhaps find some food, before meeting me back here, say, just before dusk? It will be cooler then, and the animals will not be easily startled. Plus, I would also like to evaluate your fundamental skills as well. As for pack life- we are made to run together; wolves are not meant to remain alone for extended periods of time. Loners very rarely make it past their third or fourth year, and pups born to rogue parents have a very small chance of survival in any season. I believe that you will integrate quite well.”
He watched with the mild air of a concerned elder as she padded away towards the sloping back of his den, and he cleared his throat before speaking once more. “If you have any problems, or come across anything that needs to be addressed, please do not hesitate to tell me, night or day.”[/blockquote][/blockquote]

The side of her lip quirked in a small smile as Gavin her alpha allowed her wild nickname to be brought to the present. It had been a long time since anyone had called her that and she was glad to hear it on someone’s lips. Her ears twitched from where she stood deep within the cave, listening to Gavin intently. He was a very intelligible wolf, the words in which he chose to speak were smooth and flew together. He didn’t have an awkwardice in him that seemed to cling to Feara like a parasitic tic. Her tongue flicked out to lick her grey lips in a nervous gesture as prais came out of the Alphas mouth, he sure knew how to embarrass someone. Her heart then stopped a beat as he spoke of another wolf coming to show her around the pack lands to a den that would be suitable for her. Feara had been proud of herself for walking into the borders of these lands and confronting the Alpha but she wasn’t sure how she would hold up with others. She knew that Gavin did not have an alphess which would put the other females at edge with each other. Feara wasn’t looking for the hot spot as his other half, but who ever came to take her around wouldn’t know her feelings and would probably bite her tail off rather then show her a safe haven.
Feara shook herself mentally, this is what she wanted, to be a part of this pack structure and because she wanted it so badly she would take what ever hard shit flew her way. “Thank you.” She replied breathlessly. Gavin gave her a broad smile that tugged at something deep within Feara, something that she hadn’t known existed. Maybe having someone ells come and beat the crap out of her was not all that bad; especially compared with the way Gavin kept on playing wither her emotions and insides. Then Gavin expressed his feelings of I have no qualms with taking you out on an exploratory hunt and Feara almost groaned aloud. She could just imagine what a lone hunt with just the two of them would do for her peace of mind. But she had already gotten herself tangled within this mess; even if she could back out now what would Gavin think of her then? She had told him already of how well suited she was at hunted but if she was not going to show it then Gavin would surly think that she had been lying. At least though the hunting would not happen right this second and there would be time enough for her to recatch her bearings. “Why don’t you come and find me after you have gone and done your business, Gavin?” It was her first time using his name, and it felt natural to her slithering between her lips. She waited a second though to see if her Alpha would yell at her for using his real calling. She wasn’t all that high up in the hierarchy and he might find it offensive for her to use his name with such familiarity. “I hope that I do integrate well.” Feara said to continue on to another topic.
Gavin cleared his throat and Feara’s tail twitched in attention. He spoke of assurance, that he would always be there day or night if she ever needed it. How would he react if she told him that he was the problem? That when he looked at her it felt as though he was looking right into her being, her soul. That when he spoke she could feel it in her bones, that when she looked at him it pained her because she knew that she could never have him. That he made her feel things that she had never experienced before. Feara would not voice what her mind was thinking though, she knew that if she did say what had just shifted threw her mind Gavin would ether anger and throw her out of the pack or look upon the lowly she-bitch with pitying eyes and never take her seriously again. “I will not forget that.” She answered instead. Then with slow movements she walked back towards the cave entrance and stood half in half out of it staring up at the cloudy sky. “It looks like it is going to rain.” She said casually, nature made her feel so a peace, and so did not looking at her alpha.
