Pale grey coat moved gently as the trademark lope of a wolf carried a medium-sized female up a gently inclining path. Paws bounced off of the flat path they fell with a rhythmic timing that only complete peace of mind could provide. Mouth hung slightly agape drawing air in and out in the canine panting fashion, causing a rapid expansion and deflation of the female’s chest. Heat fell upon the air with a seemingly aggressive presence, it moved in waves off of every movement and the wolf trotting slowly up the hillside was no exception. Large, heavy paws carried her carefully scraping against the gravel that still existed on the paths carved by humans long ago. Emerald shades hung in the forest path all around her; already some leaves littered the ground.
Her eyes turned over her surroundings slowly but this was not what she was here for, she was here to reach the very top. She was here to feel that thrill of conquering the highest object in sight to feel above everything else. The anticipation gathered as the altitude did, and it was almost too much for young and adventurous Delany to handle. Her paws itched to be allowed to race to the top and she held those feelings at bay for a few moments, then she shot forward like a bullet. Long strides ate up the ground, white fur moving with her body over the tan path. She followed the path to the t-line but ran her hardest up it.
Juvenile ways had her always. She was care-free, adventurous, naïve, but she had a good heart. Nothing would ever hold her down as far as she was concerned, she desired friends but the spirit of adventure had always been to strong within her. She had never stuck around long enough to build comrades within others. But given her nature she never dwelled on this with a quick glance at the path ahead of her she threw the rest of her body into her running. She had to be near the top as the air was getting thinner as was the heat. Her nose quivered and inhaled the strong scents of salt water that reached her even up here but she also detected a wind carrying the smell of prey. And there was the solution to the break up of the intense heat.
A sharp veer to the right kept her on the course to the edge of the mountain and she began to slow as the vision of the view below reached her through the heavy forestry. She did not have the best reaction time and as her young eyes stared between the trees her paws slammed into a tree trunk. She hit it and went over, catching herself barely on the other side. She laughed out of her own stupidity as she sat there half-sprawled on the ground. Trying to retain her dignity she carried on, but was her pace slower? No. Would she ever learn? Most likely no, it was not something she carried to learn anything about. White form came careening about a slender aspen, paws flaying in the grit.
She slowed near the edge, round eyes taking in the splendor that this view held. Delany stood very close to the edge only a foot or so away for a fatal fall but confidence oozed from her being. She had made it and joy overcame the ivory canine as she stood over her view. The emerald, brown, and blue hues sparkled in the summer sunlight and delighted expression overtook the femme. She shook the debris gathered from her tangle with nature from her coat and sat upon the springy grass. A cool breeze ruffled her fur, she closed her eyes breathing in the smells and enjoying the gentle caress the wind offered.
Vision opened again and she smiled delightedly, she was so happy she had chose this particular peak to climb. It looked to be the tallest but she was not certain but from here she could see the whole of this land from the beaches to the forestry. She carefully examined each piece of the wilderness laid out before her like a map eager to decide where her next adventure would carry her. Paws shifted out of habit as she scanned the ground unable to tear her gaze away. Fixated on the horizon and other features of the land the female sat the breeze gently stirring her white coat.

The roar of the distant waves was inaudible to the dog as he stood, feeling rather magnificent atop the summit of the lush peaks, his feathered tail swinging feverishly side to side and his tapered muzzle hanging open, salmon tongue lolling out in obvious glee. A brine-tainted squall rushed past him, drawing the bronze fur up and pulling it away, licking at his breast and visage, and he laughed- a full, wholehearted whoop of jubilation. There was nothing that made him so bubbly as the mild vertigo that came with the ascension of the Mariposa range, a panoramic view so seraphic that it would be difficult for the most hardened of creatures to withstand the awe that came alongside it. The canine closed his chocolate eyes to the wind, a broad grin surfacing on his features as he did so. It was the simplicities of nature at her best that inspired him the most, the majesties of the landscapes- an endless cyan pasture that was the ocean rippled and danced before him, its frothy waves twisting in an elegant ballet. The beauty brought back the swollen love he felt for his since-deceased lover, though his happiness did not fade; it was just as easy to imagine her frolicking beneath the oceanic lea, though the thought did calm him somewhat, brought him back to the world that he was consciously standing in. Giving the sight one last look, he turned away, his untroubled spirits producing another smile as he hummed to himself, a queerly rumbling note pitched from his tawny chest.
Twisting, his gentle amber-hued caught sight of another, one who was both decidedly wolf and decidedly female. Having no qualms with the nature of her species but not wanting to disturb her, the mutt held back, hind limbs prancing along behind him in a peculiar manner, the light plumage of his hocks swaying in the gentle breeze. He was no larger than her; in fact, he was smaller, and that was only one differences- they were innumerable. A lovely burnished copper with a black saddle marking and a bandit's face, it was quite obvious to any onlooker that the two were from entirely different worlds. Though, for a dog such as this one, who was so intensely extroverted in his behavior, none of this mattered. In his six years of life, he had found that his lighthearted demeanor brought about more serendipity friendships than he had every imagined- and, of course, that was his immediate intentions with this young wolf, her ivory pelt catching a gentle glare from the cavorting sunbeams. Though she seemed incredibly submerged in her own thoughts, the male approached her anyway, smiling broadly and fairly dancing forward, tail wagging along behind him. “Good morning, miss!” He spoke, lowering himself into a playful bow before bringing himself back up and settling his nerves until he was finally still, save for the easy swaying of his tail. “Forgive my intrusion, I do hope I have not interrupted anything.” {ooc} x.x sorry it's so short. also, i wasn't sure if it was morning/afternoon/evening.

The sun’s intensity caused her vision to be abnormally bright and clear and this only heightened the pristine vision she withheld from her position. She cocked her hip out slightly leaning against the soft turf with a slightly aloof appearance she sat or rather leaned upon the earth. Awareness with the rest of the world began to drift to only the corners of her mind. She stared blankly, enchanted by the marvelous window which she was viewing. She searched out each and every little detail she could find and her mind was clear and fresh but already so many adventures were brewing. A gentle pace was set to her tail as it brushed feebly within the emerald stalks. Her eyes shut and she tried to remember the details from her previous view, she tried to project them upon black eyelids. Quickly though she opened them again, once more becoming transfixed by the overwhelming beauty of nature.
So consumed she had begun that she did not hear the approach of the stranger before he was right beside her. His excited words reached her ears and she snapped out of her subdued nature and jumped slightly. Forelegs slid out further in front of her and she spat the few stalks of grass from her mouth that she had collected in this tumble. Yes, she fell often. “You startled me,” She said, laughing as she picked herself off of the ground. Most others would not be laughing but protesting grumpily but such was not her nature. “You have interrupted nothing.” She said a content face appearing upon the white wolf, “I am Delany, and you are?” Inquisitive words were slightly pushy but such could not be helped by the naive female. As he continued bowed down playfully she leaped up from her sitting position. While her hindquarters remained high her top dropped low. One paw struck out good-naturedly towards the dog and a high pitched whine echoed from her ivory throat. Her ears stood straight but back and her tail wagged hardily. The usual play position of a wolf was assumed. Delany held her position and she stared at the face of the other canine before her, anticipation brewing within her veins. Would he play with her? She sorely hoped so for it had been a long time since she had gotten the chance to do so. Fidgeting slightly she shuffled one paw within the pale dirt throwing a cloud of dust into the air surrounding it. Her body wriggled suddenly and she ran in a wide loop around the tawny figure before her, white body weaving this way and that in a blur. Elongated strides carried her around in a circle and then she darted back towards the same spot she had been previously. She veered suddenly towards the male and made for him. Her tongue lolled as she panted hard, paws scrapping against the earth. She was aiming to land squarely on his back. Perhaps overpower him there, of course she was only playing. She had no real intentions of harming the male. Paws pushed off of the ground, powerful haunches launching her towards his figure. Her tail wagged back and forth in a rhythmic motion as she struck a solid object, unsure whether it was her target or not. Dust had clouded up in the area because for a play fight they had chosen a poor position, for almost no grass could be found. Still excited at the prospect of playing the female looked up and sought out the figure of the male.[/blockquote] ooc: sorry this post is so terrible.

“Forgive me, miss!” He cried, though he laughed alongside her, plumed tail wagging fiercely at the jovial tone in her voice. “My name is Nebo Daniel, but feel free to call me whatever you like.” The shepherd pushed himself back up, sidestepping in a half-circle about the wolf, as though his excitement were going to flood from his pores if he did not appease them with some sort of movement; almost immediately he was back in his original splay, rump shoved into the air and tawny paws slapping the ground. A good-natured bark leapt from his jaws, and then once more, as she took up the obvious invitation to play; one silver paw lashed towards his tapering muzzle and the dog pinned his silken ears back against an ebony-masked head, lunging towards her excitedly- suddenly, however, a screen of dusk billowed thickly through the air, the dry, thin particles of dirt filling his jaws as they clamped down on emptiness. Shaking his head feverishly to rid his watering eyes of the dirt, it wasn't until the cloud had thinned that he realized with a frown she was no longer before him; a moment later he registered the rather awkwardly placed wind that was surrounding him on all sides and it was only after this had all been settled that it became apparent that Delany was whipping around him in tight, agile circles.
As she appeared quite suddenly a few lengths before him, it was the male's turn to tumble out of surprise, though backwards. His liquid-brown eyes widened and he gave a yell as she leapt, obviously meaning to pounce on him. Curling himself into a fetal position, Nebo braced himself for the playful attack, and gave a loud “Ooof!” as she struck him fairly in the flank, knocking the wind from him for a brief moment. He remained quite still, and, sensing no movement from the she-wolf, waited a long moment. It was then that he growled, and leapt up, throwing up his paws in an attempt to catch her shoulders and bring her back down to continue their lighthearted tussle. His muzzle, widened in a grin, went up for her ears, though the bite, if connected, would be only a tad rough. His lean body wriggled and contorted, glee apparent in the laughs that could be heard anytime his jaws were not busy in their attempts to gnaw on Delany.
{ooc} ;_; I have very little muse for my Danny. Oh, btw-feel free to godmode with the play fight! If you want them to like tumble down the hill, or she bite him or jump on him or whatever, it's fine xD

She smiled and her tail continued to wag as he spoke to her kindly. His name caught her and she felt that it was rather long so when he offered her the chance to call him whatever she wished she took it. “You will sorely regret that, sir,” She said, laughing with a since of warm-hearted banter, “From this moment on I shall call you Boo.” The words had no hurt intended she simply felt that nicknames were fun and made thing more personal, besides they gave one something special to know the other by. Like inside jokes between the best of friends. Only moments after she had finished speaking the play fight began and delight consumed her playful mind. At his ‘ooof’ when she pounced on him she felt rather sorry and gently pressed a paw to his side as if to apologize. She then stood still, standing a few feet from him but moments passed and suddenly she felt herself being drug over sideways. Tawny paws grasped her back pulling her over onto her stomach as she folded her legs under her. Teeth closed around her white ears and though it was semi-rough it was not something to cause injury to her. Back paws lunged out softly towards the golden frame before her. She thrashed about slightly attempting to free herself from his strong jaws and then once freed she leapt up. Paws churned and she ran towards him, dust rising in her wake. White paws raced over the parched ground and just before she hit him she let her back legs throw her over his tawny body. Or so she thought she would clear him. Her back leg connected with his body and she tumbled forward but recovered quickly. Lithe form turned and raced towards his body once more and she moved to bite his scruff and perhaps give him a good shake. But she did not try to be rough with him. As her mouth connected with some part of his body she shook her head side to side slightly before releasing him. Laughs echoed from her median frame and she bowed down in front of his body. Even up here they could not escape the full intensity of summer heat, especially when darting around for play. Her tongue lolled in and out but she held herself in the play position waiting for his next move. She was intent on spring away and hopefully escaping at least one of his maneuvers but as she held herself in the play position she was ready to spring forward as well. Feathered white tail moved from side to side and she remained low to the ground vision facing Boo.[/blockquote]
