Name;; Cwen
Gender;; Female
Age;; A bit over four years.
Breed;; Arctic wolf.
Desired Position in the Pack;; Lead guard & subordinate medic.
Strengths;; Quick learner, very protective, dedicated to her position, quick thinker, strong in all three main aspects (physically, mentally, emotionally)
Weaknesses;; Unapproachable, territorial, obsessive-compulsive, paranoid, overzealous in work, skeptic, impatient, quick to snap if caught in an irritable mood
Personality;; Oh, goodness, where to begin. A wonderfully confusing mass of ups and downs, very few animals, be they lupines or canines, have ever had a true and solid glimpse into the tangled web that is her personality. Like the majority of the world, she was raised on solid ground and a strong head on her shoulders, but as the years wore on she steadily acquired new traits and dropped old ones. It's impossible to know if her own parents would truly recognize her now. Perhaps if she were a little more black-and-white, if she were not so complex in her thoughts and behaviors...but, alas, she is not.
As far as merits go, there is no denying that she definitely has them. And weaknesses? Yeah, she definitely has though too.
{merits.}
Raised with the mentality that leaders and pups are to be protected at all costs, she very much so follows this rule. Alphas are given the highest respect and orders are followed at a moment's notice- though, of course, she is not mindless while doing so. Still, right and wrong are always hazy- beauty is in the mind of the beholder, of course. She is exceptionally loyal, and will follow someone to whom dedicated her protection to the ends of the earth and back. Cwen was the apprentice to her previous pack's only healer, and so she is well-trained in the arts of natural remedies and excels at not only using her previous knowledge, but at discovering new antidotes as well. A very quick learner, she responds well to mental stimulation. She also has strong soft spot for cubs, and values their lives above her own. Though she is usually seen wearing an angry look, this can be broken by a respectful youngster's presence- or, of course, a friend.
Physically speaking, she's very strong and can endue rugged terrain at a steady pace for miles without dropping. She's a light sleeper, and can function on little to no sleep. Her life as a rogue has brought about one last positive thing- she has a very high pain tolerance.
{weaknesses.}
Ah, yes- flaws. Everyone has them, though whether or not they were always there is another thing entirely. To start her off, she is notoriously rough around the edges and very gruff, leading her to look unapproachable. She is almost always wearing either a scowl or a snarl. Once she has settled herself into a pack, she becomes immediately territorial and is very obviously obsessive-compulsive with not only checking the borders for intruders, but also with the security status of both the leaders and whatever young the pack might harbor. It becomes evident to any that meet her that she is very, very paranoid, and this is manifested through her frequent “security checks” and her overzealous need to protect any “high-standing” members.
She is a skeptic, and badly so. Very few stories are told to her without at least a bit of scoffing, and any bright-eyed fables about the stars and ancestors and gods are acknowledged only by an eye roll or a glare. Cwen is very impatient, whether it be with other members, subordinates, or patients requiring treatment- and is quick to snap and prove her point that they need to do something to ease the situation along a little. While one can't deny her prowess as a healer, more often than not her patients are silent more so because of her threatening glares than because their pain is subsiding. If she can tolerate it, why can't they?
Why Should We Accept You?;; Cwen isn't one to take anybody's crap, and she's on her toes (or what's left of them) nearly all of the time. She'll be able to understand the harshness of SR, and of Angrboda, and will probably be one of the very few wolves that won't try and be "dominant" in any fashion.
