In the future, the natural world is being destroyed by humans. Slowly, they are destroying every natural area where wolves once lived. As their own world is gradually dying, they are desperate to restore the earth as it once was in an attempt to save themslves. The first step is to create wolves that could survive in this new, changing world. They have captured wolves that have survived this long and have brought them to this island. They performed experiements upon them, giving them mutations and released them onto the island, while watching them from a satalite. They watch to see if these newly mutated wolves can survive as wolves should, even with these mutations. They study to see the effects of their experiements, and are especially excited to see what the following generations will produce. They encourage these wolves to breed accordingly, hoping to populate the island and make sure that each generation will keep these mutations and now generate ones that could be potentionally harmful to the existance of the other wolves or to humans. This is a project performed my scientists in hopes of one day releasing these new species of wolves and repopulating the world with nature, hoping that the earth will once again be balanced out.

The wolves here are confused, angered and frightened. They find themselves smarter after such experiements and are able to decipher the thoughts of humans. They realize what is going on, and while some hope that future generations will become strong enough to swim across the ocean to escape, others are content living upon the island and living their lives without any human contact from that point on.
