The cold air made steam rise off the mossy ground. Darkness swallowed the day sky and made the illusion of night cast its rays over the shack. The screaming sound of lighting rushed across the sky and the thunder boomed louder as each moment passed. The storm was heavy and she was drenched. She shook his water logged coat in an attempt to relieve herself of the weight. No such luck was given to her. The rain was too heavy and coming down too hard for her to be any kind of dry.
The eerie shack looked so estrange. Its walls were standing against the storm in a stubborn manner. Chestnut eyes gleamed in the darkness as another flash of lightening light up the dark sky. Her fangs were expressed in concern and her heart was slamming in her chest. The storm was picking up and from the sound of the reoccurring sounds of thunder it was coming closer. The last thing she wanted was to be standing in the open field awaiting the lighting to steal her life from her.
Long legs were pulling her body towards the shacks entrance. Another crack of lightening filled the sky and she jolted backwards. Her ears were glued to her head as she watched the sky. Her breath was increasing and her chest was starting to throb. She was starting to see fuzziness in her eyes. Oh no! her mind screamed as she realized she was having an asthma attack. Right, how perfect it was to come during the storm. She frantically looked at the doors of the shack and nudged them to see if any would open. Finally she noticed a hole underneath the back part of the barn. Someone else had dug their way into the shack. Thank the gods for that!.
She pulled her tiger color fur into the mud and pulled herself into the safety of the shack. Another crash of lightening light up the sky and made the shacks insides light up. This was becoming quite the pain due to the fact that her eyes couldn’t adjust to the darkness. She fell to the ground just by the hole she had climb through. Her breath was staggered and wheezy as she attempted to catch her breath. Oh her chest hurt so badly! It was rare when she had those attacks but that didn’t mean they didn’t hurt any less.
Soon her breathing was becoming collected. She had been fearful that she would faint. However, she had gained control over her attack and finally had control over her breathing. She placed her head on her paws and let out a long sigh. Once her breathing became collected and clam she began to scan her surroundings. For the moment she didn’t see anyone else in the shack and she was a little to weak to get up and search.

The sound of rain against the tin rooftop was, for those not frightened by the sound, annoying. And no matter what pace the rain fell at, slow or fast, the sound never once became anything but irritating. It was not peaceful, like the sound of rain against the top of a log or heavy drops falling from the limbs of trees against a pine needle covered ground. Now that was peaceful, relaxing. You could fall asleep to that, but this, this was a different matter. There was no sleep to be found, at least not for the rusty hued female that had entered the barn at the first side of dark clouds looming above. Rain made it difficult to see, but having one eye and the rain made it far more difficult and she had made sure to find shelter quickly. She had been out searching the land yet again, going over each and every inch with an alert nose and keen eye. Its what the leaders of her old pack had done and she had learned at an early age that it was something that needed to be done in order to keep a secure pack. But that was something that would be taken on by the arrival of scouts. Scouts would help lessen the amount of time she had to spend doing such a job.
When the rain had began it started out slow and she thought perhaps that it would not last for long and she could return to the pack den where things could be peaceful, but no. So far, it was going on for what seemed like forever. So she had settled herself comfortably in the corner of the strange shack and attempted to get what rest she could. Rest, not sleep, but rest. Sleep would not come to her yet. However, she attempted it anyways, closing both lids and trying to shut the horrible sound of rain against the roof from her ears. At least she was dry.
She was just beginning to doze when the sound of claws against the dirt and then the sound of someone moving within the interior of the barn. Rising in one fluid motion from her resting spot, Angrboda slid forwards, ears swivled forwards and alert for sounds. A flash of lightening helped illuminate the inside of the barn, revealing a wolf collapsed upon the ground. The way it hit Angrboda, it helped shadowed her facial features, making her seem like nothing more then a monster from the darkness. As if to add to her frightening apperance, a growl rumbled forth, followed by soft, harsh toned words. "I do hope you have a good excuse for crossing into claimed lands."

Flashes of lightning scattered across the darkened sky as the rain drenched the flat lands, the roar like sound of thunder made the landscaped appearance not at it's best. Indeed this place was not at it's best looking, it would have been looking and sounding better if the heavens were not pouring so harshly. The wind rustled through the pine trees limbs, forcing them to shake and make a few even break loudly. But none of this startled one wolf, she did not even really care about the landscape looked at the moment.
A lone wolf emerged out of the thick forest, her white and cream shaded pelt soaked with rain water as she entered into the meadow. Her long ears layed back, a bored and not so happy look was stuck upon her face as she only came closer to the old wet barn. Her name was Angel, during the harsh storm she had slipped into the territory unseen, and once it started to heavily rain, she decided to find some place to dry off, before heading back into the land. Her creamy colored eyes stared ahead as she saw the barn, her nose sniffed the edges of it until she found one small hole that she could slip her slender body within. But she did not know that two other wolves were in that old looking barn, their sent was masked by the heavy rain.
Within a second or two she smoothly slipped in the hole, completely on the other side and away from the other wolven. Still Angel said nothing, not even a sigh. The first thing that the female did was shake her soaked pelt out, feeling the weight lifting off of her frame. This place should be good enough. Angel thought to herself as she sniffed the dust covered barn floor, trying to find a stall to rest in. Indeed she was bold, and some would say that she was careless. She now smelled two other wolves, but she was to tired from traveling to care. Unlike others her eyes adjusted well in the darkness, her nose always at work as she scanned the deem lighted area.
And within a few minutes she found a suitable place to sit down and rest, her made almost no sound, her paws almost made no prints in the earth. Angel slowly sat down in the far edge of a stall, stay as far away as possible from the others. Just...Go..Away. Angel thought to herself, ready to strike in case if another became aggressive towards her.

The rain seemed to increase in speed and a few stray droplets fell on her nose. She wiggled it as she finally found her strength returning to her. She felt utterly exhausted and thanks to her lovely attack she wouldn’t be as strong as she usually was. In any case of a possible fight occurring. She almost jumped out of her skin as the lightening illuminated the barn and displayed a female wolf also occupying its space. She lifted herself upright and to her feet to stand up and meet the females gaze. Her head was lower and her ears were pulled back in a respectful manner. She smelt of the area and from the aura she was portraying was more then likely the cause of the aroma she had been following.
Then, her voice broke the somewhat stillness of the barns air. She knew that was coming and carefully she collected her thoughts. The truth was always the wisest decision to make and she had nothing to hide so she felt her inner guide was correct. “Well, I hadn’t meant to wander this deep into the area. I had wanted to remain on the outskirts and call for a possible guide. I was hoping to join the pack that lingers in these woods for I had heard of its reputation. It is similar to..” she trailed off for a moment. A pang of sadness swept her heart but from years of practice she kept her facial expressions quizzical and thoughtful. She concentrated and looked as if she had remembered what ever silly thing she had forgotten, “Like my old home.” She said with a accomplished nod. Yes, she had put it in a little lighter message but she wasn’t attempting to spill anything of her past at the moment. She didn’t feel that was appropriate.
Her triangular ears swiveled to the sound of scratching. Soon another female entered the barn and she arched her brows in a curious manner. This female didn’t smell of the pack lands like the other before her. She didn’t show dominance about her and she sure as hell didn’t seem confident at all. She tilted her head just a touch and then returned it to her current interest. Her eyes widened for a quick second as she realized she hadn’t spoken of formalities. Well, if she was to stay here she would need to reveal her title. ”My name is Karida.”[/b] she said in a mater of fact voice. Nothing seemed personal when she spoke. As if she was simply speaking of only business. She was like that often. Very quick to answer and not place any personality in her voice unless asked a personal type question. Any other response that didn’t require that information was simple and straight to the point. She didn’t play games and wasn’t in the mood for any now. [/color][/sub]

For some moment, the muscular built female remained motionless, her signle good eye, narrowed in clear irritation at the intrusion of both her territory and her resting spot. However, the female's posture was not one that would make Angrboda think she was acting disrespectful, in fact, she was rather submissive, which pleased Angrboda. With a flick of her tail, she listened, though her expression would have given the idea that she was hardly paying attention. When the female mentioned that there was a simliarity between her home and the current territory, Angrboda's attention perked, her ears swivling forwards to listen more attentively. She was about to speak when there was yet another disturbance---once again at the only entrance into the barn. Turning her full body to face the hole, Angrboda waited until the female pulled herself clear.
She was expecting some sort of introduction, an explaination of sorts, but there was none of that. In fact, the female blatantly ignored the fact that she stood there and made her way over to one of the back parts of the barn to settle down. For the most part, Angrboda was not one that could be easily stirred up. Her anger was usually kept well undercontrol. However, this was a different matter. Not only was this female an intruder, but she was acting like the territory was her's. Casting a glance towards the one she had been speaking to, she moved after the other female, hackles raised and her tail held high. When she finally came to a stop, she had positioned herself well in front of the other, her dark eye narrowed and her lips quivering with the desire to snarl, but instead, she merely let out a deep, rumbling growl. "Give me gone good reason why I shouldn't tear your worthless throat out, tresspasser." The words where spoken as if forced from her throat and indeed they had been. She was doing everything and anything to keep her anger in check. To keep herself from leaping upon the bold intruder and tearing every limb from her body and then leaving her to the rats.
The other female's name had registered with her, although it had only been a brief moment of introduction, she would not beable to forget the name or face. It was one of her good traits, her memory had always served her well. "Come on! Speak up. You're walking on claimed land. Not only that, but you have barged your way into my shelter. And blatantly ignored the Alpha and pack member." While she had not actually announced her choice on Karida, she had made up her mind while dealing with the intruder. In all honesty, it had probably turned out far better for Karida that the female had barged in. After all, she had said she was looking to join and right now was the perfect time to prove that she was worthy of being welcomed into the pack.

Angel's head softly turned as she saw one of the wolves that noticed her sitting on the far stall, she had relaxed a bit and she was happy that the one who called herself 'Karida'. Karida's voice to Angel sounded quite nice, for it had been some time sense she had seen another wolf. Angel's creamy colored ears perked up a bit as she stood up, her body language showed that she meant to harm to Karida. "A.." But before she could say her name fully, the other wolf came before her , her language showed that she was indeed holding back her anger towards Angel.
"Give me gone good reason why I shouldn't tear your worthless throat out, trespasser."
Well so much for Angel being in a good mood now, and she thought that she was going to be nice to this so called wolf. Angel stood in front of the other female, face to face, her ears only slightly aback as she spoke no other words, she backed away a few paces. The hairs upon her spine slightly stood without her knowing, she to was indeed trying to keep cool, but this female was not helping; but at least she was still trying to be kind.
"Come on! Speak up. You're walking on claimed land. Not only that, but you have barged your way into my shelter. And blatantly ignored the Alpha and pack member."
Alpha did she say? Well frankly Angel did not really care right now. And Angel did not even smell the packs lands on Karida. Her gazed arrowed to the alpha, she wanted to growl but she stopped herself before hand, but her body showed boldness a bit. "I will leave this place if you wish me to, I was only seeking a pack to join. " Angel said in her normal sounding bold voice to the alpha female, but she showed no harm, yet Angel wanting in her thoughts to turn around and slipping into the darkness, but she didn't.. The barn was lit up once more from the lightning strikes again, her tall shadow showed across the barn floor. Oh how Angel longed for a nice day, with no hard rains and she would be accepted into a pack. But today she thought that she was surly about to be ran out of the territory in the rain, another chance of a home locked away forever.

Ignorance was something truly ugly in her mind. With the smell of the barn came the clear smell of the alpha. She had been overwhelmed by aroma that lingered in the barns bedding and there was no excuse for not smelling the surroundings. She had done so and once she had noticed Angrboda she had given her the respect she was required to display. Then the new female had made her way into the bar and had disregarded the two to take refugee in the depths of the barn. Well, quite bold of her really. Either she was really smart or really stupid. She was banking on the really stupid part.
Long legs moved towards the little scene unfolding before her eyes. Her ears twitched as she watched the given response from Angel to Angrboda. Her hairs flickered naturally to the building tension that was intoxicating the air. She could almost feel the friction lifting her fur upright. A low growl rumbled in her own throat for Angels little response. Well, was she asking for a fight? She was being asked a simple question and good display of submission could ease her back into Angrbodas good graces.
Her voice wasn’t required to be spoken at the moment. Only observation was what was required from her for the time being. If a fight happened to break out and Angel happened to attack Angrboda then perhaps then she would involve herself. She did wish to reassure the female that a simple discussion of words could solve this little issue. But if she let her pride get to her then Karida would be more then happy to snuff it out.
ooc: sorry she's kind of just there O.o; lol

[ooc] Sorry for taking a bit longer then normal, but guys, I am REALLY busy right now getting ready for my trip and I've had some major issues with my back. I am currenly seeing someone to try and get the problems resolved. So I am often in a good deal of pain most days and it gets difficult to get up sometimes. ;3 Roleplaying is one of the last things I want to do when I'm in that kinda pain.
For a long, tense moment, the large female was silent, her single, dark eye narrowed dangerously at the other before her. There was a clear indication that she was teetering on the edge of rage, the muscles beneath her thick dark coat where trembling, every nerve in her brain telling her to slay the female before her for her obvious disrespectful behavior. However, she was capable of great self control and settled herself, allowing her voice to only hint at the anger that was bubbling in her chest.
"You want to join the pack? But then you blatantly step by the Alpha. I do believe its quit clear. My scent should have been enough." For another moment, she allowed silence to engulf them, the rumble of thunder cracking over head offered the only disturbance in the otherwise tense and uncomfortable moment. With a breif glance back towards the other female that had approached them, Angrboda turned her hard, one eyed gaze back to Angel, her thick tail now lifted high.
"You may remain within the pack. But I will say this only once and it will be the only warning you get. Becareful with your mouth and watch who you ignore." With that, she swung away, her thick tail lashing out in one angry sweep before she drifted back into the shadows, towards the spot she had currently been resting in, casting one final comment over her shoulder before she settled down for the remainder of the storm. "I will need to know what your strengths are, from the both of you, in order to place you in the correct rank. Be thinking on that."

"You may remain within the pack. But I will say this only once and it will be the only warning you get. Becareful with your mouth and watch who you ignore."
Did Angel's ears betray her? Because for a second she thought that that alpha would run her out for sure, on how the two wolves acted towards Angel that is. But these words would be good enough for the cream and white shaded female, for these words were a ticket for her to stay within the land, and not get killed by another wolf. But the alpha surprised her, making her ears fly upright just because she said that she could stay. In Angel's mind, she was leaping for joy, knowing that she would not get ran out and attacked by another pack. But Angel only gave the alpha a large bow, her eyes showed that she was grateful, and she did in fact hear her warning.
"I will need to know what your strengths are, from the both of you, in order to place you in the correct rank. Be thinking on that."
Angel listened to Angrboda's words as she turned her back to Angel, forcing Angel to dodge her lashing tail while the alpha walked away. "Indeed I shall..." Angel said quietly, as if she was saying it only to herself. Angel would have to think hard on her 'strengths' were, but right now she was just to tired. A soft yawn escaped Angel's mouth while she prepared to go back to the stall were she layed. But before she started to walk to the stall, she noticed that the wolf who called herself 'Karida' was still growling at Angel. But Angel did not react badly to Karida, she only stared her down for a small moment before walking onward. "Don't waist your breath." She said to Karida in a slight warning tone, not even turning her head around while she was settling down in the stall, listening the the rain fall.

Her ears twitched as her alpha had accepted the new female into the pack. Well, she had been fortunate not to get on Angrbodas bad side. Her hairs relaxed for the moment and her lips fell in a relaxed way. However, the females disregard for others shone through once more as she mocked her protective aggression. Her ears fell back as she wanted to pounce on the bitch but her own desires were chased off by the current situation. Duty was always her first priority regardless of her own personal feelings.
She turned towards her alpha and sat down. Her tail wrapped its self around her paws and she nodded. “In my birth lands we were taught loyalty always. The protection of the pack and to treat each member, regardless of rank, as our own.” She said in a mater of fact tone. Her eyes scanned back towards angel for the moment and then back towards Angrbodas. “I was brought up as a strider. To lead under the captain and to one day take her place in ranks. My mother had been the leader but unfortunately a few unsettling things occurred in the pack to kill off half our ranks.” [/b] She said with no remorse in her voice. It happened; the sickness came, and killed off most of the pack. It was normal and she had been fortunate enough to be one of the stronger to survive. She was rambling, and needed to get to the point. “Anyway, I am a good hunter and a fighter. as for my weakness I have asthma and if not controlled I have a tendency to have an attack. Usually I can control my breathing issues but caught off guard, like the storm, I lose it and tend to have little black outs.” She said. She had to explain her weakness but thankfully her strengths were out weighed the weakness. [/sup][/blockquote]
